Cryptocurrencies are tradable digital assets that use cryptographic encryption technology to ensure ownership and security of transactions, as well as to control the creation of additional units. They are alternative currencies that do not exist in physical form and operate exclusively in digital environments. The various cryptocurrencies are controlled through a decentralised and public database for financial transactions, usually a blockchain.
The CryptoWallet service allows you to make transactions with Bitcoin and Ethereum. Also available is the custody service for Tether.
If you are a Creand client, all you have to do is go to the “Investment” section on your online banking where you will see the “CryptoWallet” icon. For greater security, you must have taken the updated KYC test and the digital asset knowledge test. Once done, you can start availing of the service.
- Minimum amount: €20 for buy/sell transactions (amount corresponding to the crypto asset equivalent).
- Maximum amount: €150,000 for buy/sell transactions (amount corresponding to the crypto asset equivalent). The times for carrying out these transactions will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays.
- Transfer of digital assets to a wallet (receiving and sending): minimum amount €50 (asset equivalent amount or digital asset portfolio).
You can access CryptoWallet from the “Investment” section. The icon is next to your wallet, or you can access it on “Make a transaction”.
The Service details are as follows:
- Buy and sell: 1.5% of the amount (minimum €5 per transaction).
- Transfers of digital assets to a wallet(receiving): €0, you can transfer your accepted cryptocurrencies to Creand for free.
- Transfers of digital assets to a wallet(sending): 2.00% of the amount (minimum €5 per transaction).
- Digital asset traceability study: 0.00%.
- Custody of digital assets: 2.00% per annum of the amount, in half-yearly payments (minimum €5 per semester).
Yes, you can avail of the CryptoWallet service via the app and via the computer version of Creand Online Banking.
The purchase and sale of digital assets or the exchange of digital assets for Fiat Money are irreversible once initiated, so you will not be able to request a reversal of a transaction under any circumstances.
Credits (receipts) and debits (payments) for digital asset transactions will be made to your linked account.
